Alpine skiing · Oslo
Alpine runs and forest ski trails you reach by metro.
Oslo’s own ski centre at Tryvann has about 9 km of slopes and ten lifts on the hill above the city. Behind it, the Nordmarka forest holds a huge network of groomed cross-country trails, many floodlit, which are free to use.
Why it is a winter thing: A city ski hill and forest trails that run only in the snow season.
December to late March or early April, helped by snowmaking on the alpine hill.
