A snow-sure plateau with hundreds of kilometres of groomed tracks.
Sjusjøen is the classic Norwegian cabin mountain: a rolling plateau around 800 metres above sea level, criss-crossed by more than 350 km of groomed cross-country trails that link on towards Nordseter, Hafjell and Lillehammer. It is one of the most reliable places for snow in southern Norway.
Why it is a winter thing: The trail network exists only when there is snow to groom.
Often skiable from November or December into April; Easter skiing is a tradition here.
Trails for every level, from flat loops around the lake to all-day tours.
