The family-friendly Olympic mountain just north of Lillehammer.
Hafjell staged the slalom and giant slalom at the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. Today it is the region’s big family resort: long, wide cruising runs, a gondola from the valley floor and a cross-country network that links across the plateau towards Sjusjøen.
Why it is a winter thing: Lift-served skiing runs in the snow season only; in summer the hill is a bike park.
About late November to mid-April. The 2026/27 season is listed as 20 November to 11 April.
